Govt to file case against PTI regarding Faisalabad situation

The government has contacted NADRA to identify PTI workers and people responsible

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The government on Monday has decided to register a case in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers for supporting politics of violence and creating a dreadful situation in Faisalabad.

Punjab Interior Minister Colonel (r) Shuja Khanzada chaired a meeting in which this was decided.

According to the sources, as many as 70 CCTV cameras have recorded footages of almost all the incidents that happened today in the city.

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) have been contacted by the government for identification of the PTI workers and other people responsible for violence.

The government has established a control room at the Lahore Civil Secretariat to monitor the Faisalabad’s situation.

Moreover, officials of Interior Department have been assigned emergency duties at the control room.

The Cabinet Committee’s high-ranked meeting was joined by Provincial Minister Bilal Yaseen, Punjab Police Inspector General (IG), Home Secretary and others.
