South Waziristan: Army Chief inaugurates central trade corridor

According to DG ISPR, army engineers completed the trade highway on fast track basis.

WAZIRISTAN (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Sunday inaugurated the central trade corridor highway to widen trade opportunities with Afghanistan. The army chief said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb is successfully continued and that the rehabilitation in the affected areas will also continue, Dunya News reported.

The army chief is on a visit to South Waziristan where he is overseeing the ongoing development work. General Sharif has inaugurated the central trade corridor built with the purpose of widening trade opportunities with Afghanistan.

According to Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, army engineers completed the trade highway on fast track basis.
