There must be bilateral talks between the government and the PTI, says Shah

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): The Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, said that he would talk to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership about appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan.

While talking to the media in his chamber in the National Assembly, he said that the government would be responsible for delay in the CECP appointment as Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has not contacted yet in this regard. He said that the PM has told the Finance Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar that he would not be in the country from November 9 to 23 while the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has given deadline for the CECP appointment until November 13.

Shah said that there must be bilateral talks between the government and the PTI. He said that had Imran Khan come to the table for talks, all matters including Judicial Commission would have been discussed. He urged Khan to maintain longevity of the Parliament for four years.
