Quetta: Attack on FC caravan ends in failure

A group of unknown men attempted to blow up FC caravan with a remote-controlled bomb.

Quetta (Dunya News) – A terrorist attack on a caravan of FC troops in Quetta ended in failure on Tuesday, Dunya News reported. No human loss of life was reported, however the blast resulted in partially damaging one of the vehicles of the FC personnel. According to police, two patrolling vehicles of the paramilitary troops were crossing the Benazir flyover in Quetta when a group of unknown men attempted to blow up the FC vehicles with a remote-controlled bomb, planted alongside the road.
Though the attack ended in failure, one of the FC vehicles was partially damaged.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in immediately and informed that at least 1-kg of explosive material was used in the bomb. Heavy contingents of police and FC troops have arrived at the scene and have begun further investigations.
