Water inflow at Head Panjnad reaches 340,000 cusecs
A massive water torrent is moving ahead in River Chenab.
JHANG (Web Desk) – Water level is continuously rising at Head Panjnad where water inflow has reached 340,000 cusecs as a massive water torrent is moving ahead in River Chenab, Dunya News reported.
A flood torrent of 600,000 to 700,000 cusecs is expected to pass through Head Panjnad in next two or three day.
Water level at Guddu Barrage in Indus River is also rising. Water flow at Guddu has reached 180,000 cusecs and 70,777 cusecs at Sukkur Barrage.
A high to very high flood is likely at Guddu Barrage between 15th and 16th September. A massive flood torrent of 600,000 to 700,000 cusecs is likely to pass through Sukkur Barrage between 16th and 17th September. Due to which, different areas in Sindh including Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Jacoabad, Ghotki, Shikarpur and Sukkur district could be affected.
There is high flood in River Ravi at Sidhnai, however, water level is gradually decreasing. Low level flood is recorded at Head Rasool in River Jhelum where water flow has reached 93,900 cusecs.
