Taking up arms against state is a grave sin, the board said.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (ST) Ulama Board comprising 300 scholars on Monday collectively appealed the armed groups to surrender. Scholars said taking up arms against Islamic state and unarmed persons is a grave sin, Dunya News reported.
The scholars appealed the armed groups active against state to surrender arms and give up militancy in respect of Ramazan.
They said Ramazan is the month of guidance and righteousness, adding that it is a grave sin to take up arms against state and civilians.
Ulama Board said Islam is flag-bearer of peace and teaches respect for humanity, adding that this is why followers of Islam should follow the way of peace and love.
He said hundreds of thousands of locals from North Waziristan are forced to leave their hometowns and seek refuge elsewhere only because the armed groups didn’t surrender.
