Over 150 Uzbek militants killed in Miranshah air strikes

More than 150 Uzbek militants were killed when fighter jets bombed their hideouts in Miranshah.

MIRANSHAH (Dunya News) – At least eight Pakistani fighter jets launched airstrikes against militant hideouts in Dehgan area of Miranshah in North Waziristan on early Sunday morning, killing more than 150 Uzbek militants.

The strikes targeted eight hideouts of Uzbek militants in Dehgan, a remote village near Pak-Afghan border.

"The strikes were carried out based on confirmed reports about the presence of Uzbek and other militants in the area," an official said.

According to sources, Uzbek militant commander and mastermind of Karachi airport attack, Abu Rehman, was also killed during Sunday’s air strikes. Abu Rehman was also involved in Bannu Jail attack.
