Army assigned Islamabad's security

Some 250 army men will guard sensitive locations in the city.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal government on Saturday assigned federal capital Islamabad’s security to the army. As many as 250 army men will be deployed on sensitive and most important areas of the city from tomorrow (Sunday), Dunya News reported.
According to sources, the army will take over internal security of the federal capital from tomorrow (Sunday). Around 250 army men will be deployed on sensitive areas including diplomatic enclave.
The army men will also patrol Margalla hills. Sources said that the security is being handed over to the army to thwart the possible backlash of military operation targeting militants in Waziristan.
Following the breaking and entering of Sikh protestors into the parliament house, the interior minister had expressed dissatisfaction over the police security.
