By-election: Polling underway in PK-45 Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD (Web Desk) - Polling is underway for by-election in PK-45 constituency of Abbottabad, Dunya News reported.

Pakistan Muslims League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Sardar Faryad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI) Ali Asghar Khan, Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Manzoor Mumtaz and Janhangir Khan of Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto are contesting the election.

As per details, 118,765 voters will use their right to vote.

The voting process will continue at 107 polling stations till 5:00pm without any break.

Strict security arrangements are in place as thirty seven polling stations were declared sensitive while twenty four polling stations were declared highly sensitive.

1500 police personnel including 150 lady constables are on duty to avert any untoward incident. Heavy contingents of FC and Reserve Force have also been deployed.

It may be mentioned here that PK-45 fell vacant after Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan was appointed as Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
