Federal Cabinet to meet on Thursday

The federal cabinet headed by PM Nawaz Sharif will discuss overall situation and annual budget.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - An important meeting of the Federal Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be held here on Thursday.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar would brief the meeting on proposals for the upcoming budget. The meeting would also discuss law and order situation and matters of national security.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would take the cabinet into confidence on his recent visit to Iran.

The government is expected to allocation of Rs 525 billion under federal development programme in Budget 2014-15.

Meanwhile, Vision 2025 would also be included in the new fiscal year while developmental projects worth Rs 1000 billion would continue during the next year.

The 70 percent completion of the projects including earliest completion of Pak-China Economic Corridor would be on the priority of the government during next fiscal year.

Moreover, the government is likely to allocate Rs 10 billion for Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) after which the total PSDP would reach to Rs 535 billion.
