Can boycott channels involved in anti-state propaganda: Cable Operators Association
The association warned Geo News to refrain from its 'ulterior motives' or it will be shut down.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Cable Operators Association said on Thursday that they stand united with Pakistan Army, adding that TV channels involved in propaganda against national institutions can be boycotted by the association, Dunya News reported.

Chairman Cable Operators Association Khalid Arayin said while addressing a press conference that cable operators stand united with the armed forces, adding that they cannot support broadcast of any channel that ‘endangers’ ideology of Pakistan, national stability, national solidarity, Pakistan Army, intelligence institutions and judiciary.
He alleged that Geo News became guilty of anti-Pakistan act when they aired Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief’s photo as accused.
He warned that any channel that maligns Pakistan will be boycotted.
He said that no channel number of any network was changed and that Geo News was not blocked anywhere in Pakistan.
He alleged that Geo News is trying to score cheap publicity through false accusations.
He said that Geo News violated Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) rule of conduct. He said that Geo published advertisement in their papers expressing distrust on PEMRA.
