Another round of meeting with Taliban soon: Yousaf
Contact with Taliban is intact and soon talks on release of prisoners will be held.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – One of the members of the Taliban negotiating committee Maulana Yousaf Shah has said the negotiators were in contact with Taliban and soon another meeting would be held on the issues of prisoners and the venue of the dialogue. The meeting is expected in the next two days, he added.
The situation will improve if more prisoners are released, he opined.
The venue of the meeting will soon be decided, he hoped.
Earlier on Sunday, Maulana Yousaf Shah said that the government has not formally demanded the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to release Ali Gilani and Shahbaz Taseer, adding that there was no deadlock between the government and the Taliban.
Maulana Yousaf Shah said that the government hasn t forwarded any of their demands.
