Treason case: Musharraf's lawyers boycott court proceedings
Barrister Farogh Naseem submitted his power of attorney to represent Musharraf in the case.
ISLAMABAD (APP) - A team of counsels defending the former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in high treason case under Article 6, Monday decided to boycott the proceedings of the special court.
According to details Musharraf’s legal team decided to boycott court proceedings and refusing to recognize the court argued that after Justice Faisal Arab had declined to further hear this case during the previous hearing, this special court stands dissolved.
Musharraf counsels were of the view that Justice Faisal Arab had decided to dissociate himself from the hearing but later in written order he has decided not to disassociate himself from the bench.
The counsels claimed that Justice Faisal Arab’s remarks against Anwar Mansoor are unnecessary and against the facts.
Meanwhile, Barrister Farogh Naseem has submitted his power of attorney to represent Musharraf in the case.
