Muzaffargarh rape victim dies at hospital after self-immolation
The 18-year old victim set herself on fire on Thursday after police released the alleged accused.
MUZAFFARGARH (Web Desk) – Rape victim girl Amna died on Friday at Nishtar Hospital in Multan, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Nadir Hussain along with his two unknown accomplices allegedly raped 18-year-old first year student after refusal of engagement in Bait Mir Hazar area.
A case was also registered in Bait Mir Hazar Police station but the police gave clean chit to the accused and released them.
The investigation official set the accused free despite proof of crime in the medical report. As Amna learned about the release of the accused, she set herself on fire outside the police station.
Amna was shifted to Tehsil Heaquarter Hospital Jatoi but the doctors referred her to Nishtar Hospital Multan due to her critical condition.
Doctors said that Amna had suffered 70 percent burn injuries.
