Karachi: Rangers arrest more than 80 suspects in Sohrab Goth
Lady constables also took part in the door to door search operation.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Rangers personnel have arrested more than 80 suspects during targeted operation in Sohrab Goth area of the violence-hit city on Friday, Dunya News reported.
The targeted action was carried out on a tip-off in Mulla Esa Goth. More than four hundred Rangers personnel took part in the operation.
Entry and exit points of the area were sealed and door to door search was conducted.
On the other hand, five alleged terrorists belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were arrested during an overnight raid by the police.
The suspects were identified as Zar Wali Mehsud, Javed Mehsud, Ismael alias Pathan, Ayub and Waqas Mehsud.
Three hand grenade and two TT pistols were also recovered from their possession, police said.
Ealier today, two people sustained injuries in a cracker explosion near Dhobi Ghaat in Garden area.
The injured men were shifted to civil hospital for treatment.
