Peshawar suicide bomber identified

The report says that the suicide bomber planned to target mourners at a funeral.

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Authorities have finalised preliminary report of Monday’s suicide blast outside a house in Peshawar, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

The suicide bomber killed four women in an attempted attack on mourners at a funeral.

The blast hit a house near Jameel Chowk, close to where a group of people were holding funeral prayers, senior police official Najeeb Ur Rehman said.

He said the mourners spotted three would-be suicide bombers coming towards them but managed to scare them off.

Two fled the scene while the third entered a nearby home, unconnected to the mourners, and blew himself up at the entrance.

 

 

According to initial details, the suicide bomber has been identified as Qadeem who belonged to Khyber Agency.

Meanwhile, suicide attacker’s two handlers identified as Qadeer and Amir Nawaz were also arrested from the area.
