India, Pakistan need to change old mindset: Salman Khurshid

Says PM Nawaz Sharif appears to be sincere in improving the relations with India.

NEW DELHI (Dunya News) - Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Wednesday said India is ready to resolve the water issue with Pakistan through talks.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistani media in New Delhi‚ he said that the both countries needed to adopt new ways for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

Salman Khurshid said that India and Pakistan should have to change old mindset to improve bilateral relations.

He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appeared to be sincere in improving the relations with India.

Responding to a question regarding Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project, he said that India was ready to take gas from Iran and Central Asia via Pakistan.

To another question, he said that Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was ready to vist Pakistan but the atmosphere was not conducive for this.

Salman Khurshid said that there should be no ceasefire violations along Line of Control (LoC) as these incidents give rise to tension.
