Leader of banned outfit survives, 2 killed in Sargodha gun attack
The assailants managed to flee from the scene after the attack, police said.
SARGODHA (Web Desk) - Two people belonging to a banned organization were killed on Saturday in an armed attack in Sargodha, Dunya News reported.
However, deputy president of the organization’s Punjab chapter Maulana Abdul Hameed survived the attack.
According to police, a vehicle carrying Maulana Abdul Waheed and his five associates came under fire on City Road this morning when they were on their way to appear in Sargodha’s anti-terrorism court in connection with a case.
As a result, three men were wounded and two others died on the spot, police said.
Meanwhile, a team headed by SP Mumtaz has been formed to arrest the culprits.
