SC withdraws contempt notice against IG FC
Contempt of court notice was issued against IG FC on Dec 5 for not appearing before SC.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - While hearing the missing persons case‚ the Supreme Court on Thursday withdrew contempt of court notice against IG Frontier Corps Major General Ijaz Shahid, Dunya News reported.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the missing persons case in Islamabad.
During case proceedings, the Chief Justice remarked that contempt notice has been taken back as the IG FC has personnally appeared before the court.
Major General Ijaz Shahid told court that allegation against Frontier Cors (FC) regarding kidnapping of people is baseless.
On this, the court directed him to submit a written reply in the court.
Meanwhile‚ the case hearing has been adjourned till January 15.
