SC perturbed over 'police ties with offenders'

Apex court justice says that some issues are being handled through extra judicial ways.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Supreme Court while hearing missing person case has said that the ties of Islamabad police with miscreants is a regrettable issue. 


Two-member bench of Supreme Court comprising Justice Azmat Shaikh and Justice Aijaz Chaudhry conducted hearing of missing person case of Islamabad Police officer Rana Pervez.


Justice Azmat Saeed commented that the report submitted by the missing police officer is evident that some issues are being handled through extra-judicial ways that is absolutely illegal and against the constitutional spirit.


Police can’t exchange prisoners in jails as is the case with the war prisoners, contended Justice Azmat.


The court has ordered the IG Islamabad police and Deputy Attorney General to appear in the court.


SSP Operations also has been directed to submit his report in the court within seven days.


Next hearing of Abducted Police officer Rana Pervez Case would be made on November 11.
