Lahore rape case: CM Shahbaz orders immediate arrest of culprits

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Punjab Chief Minister‚ Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed the concerned police officers to take all possible measures to immediately arrest the culprits involved in heinous crime against a minor girl.

In a statement in Lahore today (Saturday)‚ he directed the police to update him about this issue‚ from time to time.
Police had formed two investigation teams who were searching for the suspects.

Meanwhile‚ Punjab Health Minister Tahir Khalil Sindhu told media that condition of the victim has improved a bit.

Five-year-old girl identified as Sunbal was in critical condition on Saturday after being kidnapped and brutally raped in Lahore.

The girl was found outside Sir Ganga Ram hospital at around 8pm (1500 GMT) on Friday, a day after she went missing from a low-income neighbourhood in the city.

Earlier today, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab submitted a report over the incident on the orders of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry..

The report stated that according to Medical Superintendent (MS) Services Hospital the condition of the five year old girl is out of danger and more details cannot be given because of security reasons.
