Punjab, Chinese company sign MoU on energy

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab government on Saturday signed MoUs with Chinese Power International Company for the setting up of four power plants to generate 2400MWs of electricity.

 

The agreements were signed during a ceremony in Model Town area of Lahore.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that all the four plants will be installed at Gaddani in Balochistan. The electricity will be generated through coal.

 

Two projects will be completed within two years while other two will be finalised within three years.
