Toxic liquor claims 17 lives in Faisalabad
The death toll on account of drinking of toxic liquor has risen to 17 in Faisalabad.
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – The death toll from drinking poisonous liquor in Faisalabad has reached 17.
According to details, several people fell unconscious after consuming poisonous liquor in different areas of Batala Colony. The victims were first rushed to private hospitals in the area but moved to Allied Hospital when their condition deteriorated.
Talking to Dunya News, CPO Abdul Razzaq Chima said that two incidents of consuming toxic liquor, one in juridictiction of Batala Colony Police Station and the second in Gulberg Police Station, occurred in Faisalabad.
According to hospital sources, the deaths occurred after the victims consumed toxic alcohol at a party their friend had thrown in Faisalabad’s Batala Colony. The sources further informed that more than 10 people are still under treatment at the hospital.
