SC directs FIA to seize Ogra's CNG licenses record

The SC resumed hearing of the suo motu case pertaining to the alleged grant of illegal CNG stations.


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court has directed the director general of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take hold of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) record of awarding licenses to CNG stations.

 

The Supreme Court resumed hearing of the suo motu case pertaining to the alleged grant of illegal CNG station licenses on Friday.

 

During the course of proceedings, the SC expressed displeasure over the non-implementation of its orders while directed the FIA to monitor the record of OGRA.

 

The DG OGRA apprised the court that the files could be brought to the court due to their volume.

 

Meanwhile, the court ordered the secretary petroleum to submit a report over the import of CNG cylinders and adjourned the hearing till April 15.
