Terrorists' backbone broken, claims Rehman Malik
Only 15 to 20 people are most wanted in Karachi, says Rehman Malik.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya Web): Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the backbone of terrorists has been broken as security forces carried out successful operations against them.
Talking to newsmen here on Saturday‚ he said only 15 to 20 people are most wanted in Karachi and hoped that they will be arrested soon.
Referring to various steps taken by the Interior Ministry during the last five years‚ the Interior Minister said law enforcement agencies have been made more vibrant and capable with the trainings of personnel held inside the country and also abroad.
Rehman Malik said he is grateful to the support and cooperation extended by all intelligence agencies. He especially lauded the help of ISI in information sharing with the Ministry.
Rehman Malik said the army and especially the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani helped nurturing the democracy in the country. He told a questioner that the menace of terrorism will be overcome with the passage of anti-terrorism bill.
