Pakistan condemns soldier's killing, demands probe
Pakistan has condemned killing of its soldier who inadvertently crossed over LoC.
ISLAMABAD -(Dunya News) - Pakistani Foreign Office has strongly condemned the killing of a Pakistani soldier by the Indian army on in Khoi Ratta sector along the LoC on Thursday.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Foreign Office spokesperson said the killing of our soldier who had lost his way and inadvertently crossed the LoC goes against the understanding reached between Pakistan and India on speedy return of inadvertent line crossers and has the potential to further vitiate the atmosphere.
Pakistan has called upon the Government of India to carry out a thorough investigation into this unfortunate incident and to ensure that such incidents do not re-occur.
Earlier in a statement‚ Inter Services Public Relations also condemned the inhuman and brutal act of killing of Sepoy Ikhlaq by Indian troops.
It said Sepoy Ikhlaq lost his way between two posts and crossed over the LoC. The Indian authorities were approached to hand over the soldier.
