Lawyer among five others dead in Karachi

Five people including a lawyer were killed overnight in different areas of the metropolis.

 

KARACHI:-The sustained pace of death rampage could not be brought under control, as five more were killed overnight in different areas of the metropolis, officials said on Saturday.

 

The assassins are on the move scot-free in the city despite snap checking by police, as senior lawyer MM Tariq Advocate was shot dead when he was parking his car in the his apartment at in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

 

According to police sources, the miscreants were riding motorbikes and ultimately escaped after hitting their target.

 

Naeem Qureshi, President Karachi Bar Association said body of the deceased was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities and ultimately handed over to heirs for burial.

 

Karachi Bar Association and Malir Bar observed boycott all judicial proceedings on Saturday in protest over the killing of the fellow lawyer.

 

Another firing incident occurred in Baldia Town area of Abidabad where 30-year Fazl Kareem lost his life. The deceased belonged to Kurram Agency.

 

Some miscreants opened gunfire at a pan-shop located near Taj Complex Hospital on MA Jinnah Road claiming the life of 28-year Amir.

 

Earlier, 50-year Muhammed Aslam was gunned down in Orangi Town area of Qasba Colony-2.5. A firing incident took place in North Karachi area of Nagan Chowrangi where 30-year Imran Ahmed was shot to death.
