Punjab health ministry sacks 90 doctors

The Punjab health ministry said new doctors will be appointed on vacant seats soon.


LAHORE: The Punjab health ministry has sacked ninety doctors who have been absent from work for an extended period, Dunya News reported on Friday.

 

The decision was taken after reviewing the report presented by the admin of different public hospitals of the province.

 

The ministry had served the doctors with notices. However, no reply was received after which the doctors were dismissed from their duties. 

 

The ministry said that new doctors will be appointed on vacant seats soon.
