Fire at military barracks in Karachi extinguished

A fire that broke out in military barracks has been brought under control.

 

KARACHI: A major fire that broke out in a Naval Police Headquarters, located at Shahra e Faisal, has been extinguished in the wee hours of Sunday, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

 

According to ISPR, the fire broke out in a barrack but fortunately, no casualty was reported as the barrack was empty.

 

A fire erupted in the unoccupied barracks early on Sunday which shortly engulfed the entire building. Rescue and fire teams rushed to the spot upon receiving information.

 

Emergency teams of Pakistan Navy (PN) and Defense Housing Authority (DHA) had also reached the site.

 

The third-degree-fire was brought under control after three hours of efforts.
