ECP seeks Rs5.9bn extra grant for polls
The details were submitted by the Law Ministry during Senate session.
ISLAMABABD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought nearly Rs 6 billion additional grant for upcoming general elections, Dunya News repoted.
Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek on Wednesday informed the Senate in written that ECP has requested for additional grant to finance division to meet election expenses.
As per details, ECP will allocate Rs 500 million to army, Rs 70 million for non-removable ink, Rs 1.25 billion for election allowances, Rs 210 million for ballot paper, forms, envelops, posters and advertisements.
