Says FC, police responsible for law and order failure in the province.

CAMBRIDGE: Former Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani has said that he had given a free hand to the FC and police in the province and failing to maintain law and order was their failure.

Talking to a private TV channel on Monday, he said that he was awaiting this outcome for the last three years.

He questioned why similar steps were not taken in other provinces where law and order was also a problem. "This was just an excuse to put their hands on Reko Dik,” Raisani alleged.

The provincial government of Aslam Raisani was dismissed when Prime Minister Ashraf announced late Sunday night that article 234 of the constitution was invoked and Governor’s rule had been imposed in Balochistan.

The decision was taken as members of the Hazara community refused to bury their dead and staged a sit-in until their demands were met.
