CNG price issue to be resolved till Dec 17: OGRA

The OGRA chairman has said that the issue of CNG price would be resolved before December 17.


ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) chairman Saeed Ahmed Khan has assured that the issue of CNG price would be resolved before December 17.


Addressing a press conference here Friday, OGRA chairman said the authority has asked for policy guideline to ministry of petroleum for fixing CNG prices but yet to be issued, adding OGRA would again held meetings with all stakeholders.

 

Saeed Ahmed Khan further said in the current year, gas theft is estimated at Rs16 billion. He said gas companies had been directed to cover this loss with their profits instead of shifting it to the consumers.


He said Sui Northern and Southern companies had requested for shifting this Rs16.50 billion loss to consumers which had been rejected by the authority.
