The PTI has appealed to the SC and ECP for help over pre-poll rigging by PPP in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.

Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Thursday has sought attention of the Supreme Court and Chief Election Commissioner toward pre-poll rigging by Pakistan People’s Party in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.

PTI spokesperson sought immediate intervention from the Justice (r) Fakharuddin G Ebrahim, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and demanded action against the PPP leader for making bids to win political support when the general election were just round-the-corner.

He drew the attention of Chief Justice of Pakistan that PPP leader Anwar Saifullah Khan was dolling out billions of public money among politicians in name of “development funds” to lure PTI supporters in the province.

“This is totally unacceptable and falls under the pre-poll rigging as dolling out development projects with the use of public money to win political loyalties. It is also grave violation of the rules and code announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan,” said the PTI spokesperson, adding that Anwar Saifullah should be disqualified under the law.
