Are Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh really expecting first child?
(Web Desk) – The celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are reportedly expecting their first child, according to the sources of ‘The Week’.
Rumour has it that Deepika is pregnant and in her second trimester after she was spotted hiding her midriff at the 77th BAFTA red carpet ceremony.
For the event, the actor wore a gorgeous shimmering saree and unique jewellery designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
When asked if she was looking forward to having a child, Deepika answered, "Absolutely," in a January interview with Vogue Singapore.
“Both Ranveer and I like kids and we eagerly anticipate the day when we may begin a family of our own,” she added.
She also discussed her childhood, highlighting the significance of family values and the securing impact of her background—values she intends to impart in her future offspring.
“When I meet the people I have grown up with — my aunts, uncles, family friends — they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing... In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.”
After six years of courting, Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, on November 14, 2018. They first became close on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela." They later costarred in "Padmaavat" and "Bajirao Mastani."
The pair just celebrated their fifth anniversary of marriage in Belgium.
After starring opposite Hrithik Roshan in the aerial action movie "Fighter," Deepika is currently filming the sci-fi action thriller "Kalki 2898 AD" with Prabhas. Meanwhile, Ranveer is getting ready to play Simmba again in Rohit Shetty's cop drama "Singham Again."
He will also star in Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3', which is scheduled for release in 2025.
