ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – TV legend Farooq Qaiser, aka Uncle Sargam, has been laid to rest in Islamabad, a day after he died of cardiac arrest at the age of 75.

According to details, the funeral prayer of Farooq Qaiser was attended by politicians, artists and members of civil society.

Born on October 31, 1945 in Lahore, Qaiser was a Pakistani artist, newspaper columnist, TV show director, puppeteer, script writer and voice over actor.

He was well known for his puppet character Uncle Sargam which was introduced in 1976.
