(Web Desk) - Nicki Minaj says losing her father has been “the most devastating loss” she’s ever faced. Robert Maraj died in February after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run incident, and on Friday, Nicki broke her silence on the tragedy.
Nicki said she still isn’t ready to talk about the loss in detail, but offered fans an update on her mental state in a post on her website.
She wrote: “Tho I can’t really bring myself to discuss the passing of my father as yet; I can say it has been the most devastating loss of my life. I find myself wanting to call him all the time. More so now that he’s gone. Life is funny that way. May his soul rest in paradise. He was very loved & will be very missed. (sic)”
Robert passed away on February 12 when he was struck by a car between Roslyn Road and Raff Avenue in Nassau County, New York, with the driver of the vehicle that hit him allegedly fleeing the scene.
