Meryl Streep bashes Trump at Golden Globes
She ended her monologue by quoting late 'Princess Leia'
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Meryl Streep, while accepting her Cecil B. Demille Award at the Golden Globes this year, chose to add her bit in the anti-Trump pool over his policies that hurt various sections of the society.
Streep, the proclaimed legend by film industries across the globe including Mumbai-based Indian stars talked extensively over diversity, tolerance and acceptance in Hollywood which goes against, as many say, President-elect Donald J Trump’s policies.
The 67-year-old actress cited Dev Patel, Amy Adams, Ryan Gosling, Natalie Portman, Sarah Jessica Parker besides a couple others as examples of heterogeneity.
She ended her monologue by quoting late ‘Princess Leia’, “Take your broken heart, make it into art.”
However, the speech has incited a reaction from the President-elect himself.
