LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) across Punjab have officially announced the results for the class 9 annual examinations.

In Lahore, the results were declared by Rizwan Nazir, Secretary of the Lahore Board, and Tauseef-ur-Rehman, Controller of Examinations.

According to the Lahore board, a total of 308,073 students appeared for the class 9 exams. Of these, 138,894 candidates passed, bringing the overall pass percentage to 45.08.

In the Science Group, a total of 235,247 candidates appeared for the exams, out of which 111,681 passed. This reflects a pass percentage of 47.47%.

In the Arts Group, 72,826 candidates appeared, and 27,213 were declared successful, resulting in a pass percentage of 37.37pc..

The overall pass percentage among girls was recorded at 53.83pc, significantly higher than boys, who achieved a pass percentage of 35.33%.

Officials noted that girls continued to outperform boys, with a significantly higher pass rate. The Science Group also maintained a higher success rate compared to the Arts Group.
