Dr. Mukhtar appointed new ED of HEC
Prof. Dr Mukhtar Ahmed has been appointed as new Executive Director of Higher Education Commission.
ISLAMABAD: The appointment was made in pursuance of orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan dated 20th December 2012 wherein the commission was directed for recruitment/ appointment of new Executive Director(ED) of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan within 30 days.
In case he does not join, the offer would be made to other preferential candidate in the order of merit as recommended by the selection board.
It was decided during a special meeting of HEC board (commission) held on Sunday here at HEC head office Islamabad which was attended by all the members of the commission including two federal secretaries and representatives of provincial governments . The meeting was chaired by Dr. Javaid R. Laghari Chairperson HEC.
