KHANPUR (Dunya News) – A suspected robber was killed and his accomplices escaped during an exchange of fire with police in Sadar Police jurisdiction here on Tuesday.
According a spokesman for Khanpur police, a police team deployed at a security barricade gave a signal to suspects riding bike to stop. They did not stop and attempted to flee while firing. Police engaged them effectively, and killed a suspected robber, whereas his accomplices escaped.
Police said the eliminated suspect was involved in serious case of crimes. A snatched bike and weapons were seized from the suspect. A manhunt for fleeing robbers was launched. Police sent the dead body to hospital for medicolegal procedures. Further investigation was underway.
