KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four suspects, including a woman, for abducting a 10-year-old boy for ransom.
Police conducted an intelligence-based operation in Saudabad area and arrested four suspects, including a woman, nominated in the kidnapping-for-ransom case. A vehicle used in the incident was also recovered.
Police officials said the arrested suspects included Moaz Ali, Muhammad Matal, Rashid Ali Syed and Afia alias Shahida. Matal is the kidnapped child's neighbour and the mastermind of the plan.
Police added that the arrested accused had kidnapped a 10-year-old boy named Khizr on July 9. The boy was rescued from Falcon Colony within 12 hours. Further investigation was under way.
