Summary Suspected outlaws were complicit in serious crimes of robbery and murder

KHANEWAL (Dunya News) - Police on Sunday claimed that two suspected proclaimed offenders were killed in the firing of their own accomplices during an exchange of fire with law enforcers in Katcha Khu Police jurisdiction.

The suspects were identified as Faisal Mehdi and Azhar Ali. Their dead bodies were shifted to hospital for medicolegal formalities. According to police, the suspected outlaws were wanted in murder, robbery, attempted murder and several other criminal cases.

Revealing detail about the alleged encounter, police said four outlaws were going on two motorcycles when they were given a signal to stop for checking. They did not stop. Instead sped away. When police chased them, they opened fire, killing their own two accomplices.

Police searched bodies of the dead outlaws and found arms and looted valuables from them. The suspects were also facing charges of murdering four people at Niazi Chowk of Khanewal. Further investigation was underway. Police launched a manhunt for the fleeing outlaws.
