LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police on Monday claimed to have recovered a female Swiss national within a few hours after she was allegedly abducted from Lahore Airport, with the arrest of her alleged kidnappers from a hotel in Bahria Town.
The woman identified as Sofia Maria Miller arrived in Lahore from the United States via Turkish Airlines. Sarwar Road Police registered a case of kidnapping the woman on the complaint of her Nepali national husband.
The police safely recovered her from a hotel within a few hours, with further investigation was underway.
A spokesperson for DIG Operations said the woman was safely rescued from a hotel in Bahria Town. She had allegedly fallen prey to fraudulent tour operators.
The scope of the investigation was expanded to find out more facts about the incident. The DIG Operations directed the Cantt SP to verify all aspects of the incident and conduct further investigation.
