CHINIOT (Dunya News) – A suspected robber was killed whereas his two accomplices managed to escape in an ‘encounter’ with Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel on Sargodha Road here on Thursday.
The suspect was identified as Imran. He was wanted in 23 cases of serious crimes, including robbery and theft. He was involved in a robbery in Sadar Police jurisdiction.
During patrol, a police team on suspicion gave a signal to a bike carrying three persons. The bike riders did not comply with police order and opened fire to escape the arrest. Police resorted to fire in their defence.
In the shootout, a suspect was fatally injured by the firing of their own accomplices. The suspects escaped. Police launched a search operation to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
