NAWABSHAH (Dunya News) – Police have registered a case against four policemen including two SHOs for the death of a citizen in custody, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday.
A few days ago a man identified Arshad Bhatti died in police custody, with his relatives accusing police of torturing him to death for extracting information, illegally. They held a protest rally with his dead body, prompting Sindh Interior Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar to take notice of the custodial death and suspend five policemen in connection with the death.
Now, police on the complaint the victim’s father Hakim Bhatti registered a case against Nawabshah SHO Asghar Shah, Shahdadpur SHO Imran Chandio, Investigation Officers Ramzan Bhatti and Abdul Sattar
