A Karachi South court sentenced Ali Hassan to life imprisonment and fined him Rs500,000 in a child abuse case reported from Qayyumabad in 2024.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - An additional district and sessions court in Karachi South has sentenced an accused man to life imprisonment in a child abuse case.
The court found Ali Hassan guilty and also imposed a fine of Rs500,000, directing that the amount be paid to the victim and the complainant.
Prosecutor Irfana Qadri stated that the incident involved a six-year-old girl and took place in Qayyumabad in 2024.
The defense argued the case was linked to a property and financial dispute and was registered with a delay.
The court noted that medical evidence supported the prosecution’s case. The FIR had been registered at Defence Police Station.
