Customs officials at Karachi Airport seize 3.54 kg gold and over $11,600 from two women en route to Riyadh, foiling a PKR 11 crore smuggling attempt.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Customs Preventive officials at Jinnah International Airport have foiled an attempt to smuggle gold and US dollars worth over PKR 11 crore.
Authorities recovered 3.54 kilograms of gold and $11,619 from two women traveling to Riyadh.
During inspection, one woman was found carrying 2 kilograms of gold jewelry and $6,143, while the second woman had 1.54 kilograms of gold jewelry and $5,476.
The seized gold and currency have been confiscated, and both women were arrested under a registered case by customs authorities.
