Seven suspected outlaws held during Karachi 'encounters'

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Seven suspected outlaws were arrested during ‘encounters’ with police in different areas here on Sunday night.

Four of them were found injured during search operations after the shootouts. The injured were admitted to hospital.

In the first incident took place in Memon Ghot, three alleged street criminals were apprehended after an exchange of fire with police. Two of them were found injured when encounter ended.

Police recovered a motorcycle, weapons and looted valuables from the arrested street criminals.

In Rizvia, an encounter took place. In the shootout, two outlaws were injured and later arrested. They were admitted to hospital. Weapons and stolen valuables were seized from them. Further investigation was underway.

In Sohrab Kot, a street criminal was injured in an exchange of fire with police. Police arrested him and recovered a motorcycle and other looted valuables from.

PROTEST AGAINST CUSTOMS TEAM

Traders protested against a customs team when it raided their shops in a market on Tariq Road. The customs officials claimed that they took action to recover non-custom paid cloth and goods. Police resorted to baton charge and firing in the air to disperse the traders.
