CTD, police launch search operation in parts of Karachi ahead of polls

More than 96 suspected individuals were checked
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Teams of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police conducted a search and combing operation in several areas of the city to ensure peaceful elections on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
According to CTD, police and the CTD personnel launched the operation to ensure security on polling day.
The law enforcers used an app device to search the suspects in several areas.
Several areas including Machar Colony, Saddar, Lyari and their adjoining vicinities were cordoned off before searching suspects.
The personnel of law-enforcement agencies questioned 96 suspects with the app device.
