KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two people were shot dead by unidentified assailants riding a bike in Mubina Town here on Monday, Dunya News reported.

The deceased identified as Ayub and Albari were sitting in a milk shop when two attackers came to the shop by a motorcycle and started indiscriminate firing at them.

As a result, they sustained bullet injuries and died before being shifted to hospital.

The attackers took nothing from the shop and fled after murdering the two men, which gives an impression that it was a targetted killing.

However, police said it was premature to say that it was a targetted killing, adding after a comprehensive investigation into the double-murder the police would be in a position to say that it was a targetted killing or a robbery incident.

Police cordoned off the area and started a probe into the killing of two the people, saying a case had been registered on the complaint of the family of the deceased.

The law enforcers collected forensic evidence and recorded statements from the eye-witnesses to the incident.

Police said with the help of CCTV footage and human intelligence they will succeed to hunt down the killers who were on the run after the incident.
